Asus G73 Drivers work on on live USB but not on full install



As the topic says, my drivers work great on the live usb
Sound , Video , Audio....
But when it comes to installing BT5 to my hard drive, my graphics card stops working, my sound quits on me and my wifi is gone.....
Or is there a switch somewhere , like there was for network in bt4?

Does same thing on 64 bit - 32 bit, all g73 users have same problem.

Are you using the model with the nvidia card (gtx460?) or the ati card (5870)? Lots of linux distros do not play well with optimus /nvidia

try
apt-get --reinstall install nvidia-glx

im pretty sure that the g73 has had hardware support from kernel 2.6.39 on, sounds dumb but have you tried reinstalling bt5?

Ya iam not a complete n00b when it comes to back track 5.

Ive tried 64bit and 32bit

and its a 5870m

All the other g73 users have the same problem.

If i need to reinstall the drivers manuely, will air crack still work without the patched drives?

How did you even get the Asus G73 to install backtrack? I can only get it to boot on Backtrack 64 bit via USB and install on the safe mode option.
