Hi all i'm new at this forum and i hope to stay weel.
I would to create a bootable usb memory stick with a boot loader so i can boot backtrack 5 and othe distribution...
I downloaded the 32 bit kde versione and i copied the content of the iso to my usb memory stick.
On the same usb memory stick i installed grub.
The grub menu.lst is:
Code:
title Backtrack 5 kde 32
root (hd0,1)
kernel /casper/vmlinuz
initrd /casper/initrd.gz file=/cdrom/preseed/custom.seed boot=casper text splash vga=791--
quiet
boot
By this way system start to load but then i get and error that give me a limited shell and i can just power off the system...
I think those:
Code:
file=/cdrom/preseed/custom.seed boot=casper text splash vga=791--
option are not sufficient for a correct boot and some other option is neded for my opinion...
Can you confirm this?
Which other option do i need for a correct boot?
Note that i don't need persistent changes but i just need to boot the iso content from usb memory stick...
Thank you!!!
