    Cool Re: Official hello thread

    Hi

    Though I would introduce myself.

Just installed bt5 because I'm pretty sick of Micro$oft. So much has moved forward from Linux that I was so adept with (Redhat 3) I was a command line user and didn't use any kind of desktop "kde/gnome" this was quite a long time ago, and the knowledge has just gone as I got lazy and moved to a windows based environment. Well not lazy as such. Just did not have the time on my hands as I work (Not computers).

Well seems I have a lot of catching up to do google generally is my best friend but from time to time some things drive me to the edge of insanity, usually because I'm missing some very minor detail, which is where forums like this come in real handy. Give me a few months to get back on track and I'm sure ill be able to give a little back also.

Well hope you don't mind me hanging out round here. and I look forward to catching up on some old skills that I once had

    Sup guys!

Have used backtrack 4 before but did not really get into all the pentesting with it. I am a University student studying Forensic Computing and have take an Ethical Hacking Module during this course.

Backtrack 5 seems like a good tool to have if i am going to be pursuing a career in this area.

I have been using Arch Linux for a good while so i am pretty capable of doing linux operations.
