    Hello all, Linux Network Engineer turned aspiring Network Defense Analyst. I was told there was no better place to get started than right here. Been Experimenting with Back Track and am enjoying things so far.

    Bit new to BT. But keen to learn. Not new to network admin or linux, but wouldnt say I was an expert on either.

    First challenge, Wifi USB Dongle :-) Ill have a read and a play but you might see back on the forums.

    Hello everyone!
    I've been interested in computer "security" since I saw the movie Hackers (if you wondered - yes it is the same line i used in my final paper after earning my master's degree in security engineering )

    I hope to bring as much as possible to the community in regard to tutorials, tools (my interest in programing languages is vast) etc...

    looking forward to interacting with as many people as possible

    Officially Hello:

    My reason for registering is to help with forensic investigations as a member of my organization's CSIRT and I am in the home stretch for a Masters of Science in Information Assurance. The community seems to be an excellent mix of security pros.

    I may ask some questions that might be more directed at ethics than the technical side, as I have started writing my thesis: Security in the Bureaucracy with the Absence of Statute.
