This is my 'Official Hello!'.
I have used different distros for more years than I care to admit.
I was browsing what distros are out there, and the graphics to BackTrack caught my eye.
I have little interest in hacking, but I really would like to understand how the internet really works, and how communications over it is done.
Hope to get involved.
This is my hello!
I got into security and pentesting so i can protect my home server which i just set up, but also because i think this stuff is super cool! Any book recommendations would be amazing! To give you guys an idea of my background knowledge: I know C and am learning C++, i also know quite a bit of python. I don't know much about networks. And i want to be able to pentest my server remotely since it will be at home and i will be in college. So what books got you guys started?
Thanks! and glad to be here!
New to BT but really eager to learn as much as possible!
Hi guys, Anyone else here from Australia ?
I am a computer technician and I have subscribe to your forum because I am a newbie with Backtrack and I think that I will have some questions who will serve me later.
Good day to You

Hi to everyone
Hello to everyone. Pretty much new to linux and already tried many different distro's. But thus far I've attached myself more to BT then any other and can't wait to delve deeper.
