Hello everyone.
Hello,
felt it was time to step forward after lurking off/on for some time. Found an old BT2 disk on a spool & thought I'd dig in with the latest.

hello there
Wanted to learn penetration testing and heard a lot of good things about backtrack. Figured I'd give it a shot. I'm primarily a windows user. I have a little experience with coding and whatnot for windows apps. Visual studio comes with sweet install wizard stuff but I can't get make to work for the life of me.Figuring on working on some linux stuff. I've been using Ubuntu a while now. It makes me want to throw my computer sometimes. Sometimes it's really enjoyable to use.
Hi all... New to BackTrack and will definitly be asking a lot of questions in the near future.
Hi, folks. I've been using Linux since the mid '90s, with a 5.x Redhat install on my old 486sx (stands for sucks)
More recently, I've decided to train up for network admin, working on several certs, including A+, CCNA, and Microsoft... in addition to
Linux and Juniper.
As I type this, I'm installing BL5 on my old Presario notebook.
I am officially done with Windows, so...
Hello, Hello, Hello,
to all the members of the forum dedicated to the coolest OS I've found thus far
I'm fairly new to Linux in general, been with it approx 1.5 yrs., owned a linux machine for about 6 months, and just replaced my main WinXP OS on my desktop with BT5r2.
It's a little quick for a noob, I'm aware, but I feel the best way to learn about something is to immerse yourself in it and either sink or swim. I've been doing well thus far and getting better at this.
At some point in the future I want to see about getting some certifications, but for now that's just on my Linux bucket list.
