Hello everyone!!!! Loving the metasploity here![]()
Hey guys, I just found out about this awesome distro! I installed it to my SD card to try it out, cracked my first WEP key! So easy, and now I'm learning a lot about computer security and what to look for on my own server. Thanks to the guys who build this distro

Hello! I am fairly new to Back-Track (Since BT4). I hope that every one here shows patience and friendship in my quest to better understand Back-Track and it's capabilities. As for my intentions, they are noble.![]()
Hi,
My name's Gerald and I'm a 36 year old stay at home dad. I have a 5 year plan to get into the IT industry and just started using Backtrack. I will be looking to get my LPIC 1 & 2, CCNA and CCSP, and PWB certs in that time. I just purchased an Acer Aspire 5733z-4406 strictly for training purposes along with a Dlink N150 router. I will also be purchasing some other gear (mainly cisco) as well. I would like to know if there are any specific tools, or certs that would be a definite asset to my studies. I will eventually work towards my cissp if needed by then. I know this sounds like a lot but I want to do this right. Friends and family have given me permission to practice on their home networks, and a couple small businesses (family) as well. So I think I may be set. But I may be missing something. What do you think. Is it worth it to get the comptia certs as well?
Sorry for the book, but just want to give a proper intro.
Gerald
