Hello everybody. I'm new to Backtrack. I've always been interested in security related topics so when I found out about BT and it's features, I just HAD to start learning about it. I'm hoping to learn a lot from the forums, and maybe some day be able to help others out.

Good day Mentors,
I'm a total noob in the linux systems, in fact I have a very little knowledge about linux systems but ever since I'd love to
learn it but due to lack of resources haven't got any luck on having a basic know-how about it.
Now, I've got a lot of time to actually learn it. And I think the best place to get info is the forums..
I hope experts here would lend a helping hand to noobs like me whose very eager to learn and maybe someday contribute
to others also.
I'd like to learn Backtrack (specifically Backtrack 5), question is that do I have to learn other distro like redhat or ubuntu before
jumping in to backtrack?
If so, are there any "reliable basic tutorials" that you could provide for a noob like me to clearly understand the basics?
As I've checked some tutz, they are quite advance already for me to clearly understand everything. Although they provide as
reliable sources but actually explaining every syntax would really help a lot.
Hope that kind experts could help someone like me. I'd really love to learn it!!!
Thank you and more power to you all..
Just welcoming myself to the BackTrack communityI've been using it for a while now and wouldn't call myself a beginner, but I've decided to make an account on the forums and hopefully give something back.
For now brown cow.
