Default [HELP] Backtrack 5 KDE & GNOME Live Conflicts with Ubuntu 10.04 [i686]

    Hello,
I tried to boot Backtrack 5 GNOME with live DVD, but it didn't work.
Later, i tried to boot it via USB Live with unetbootin, didn't work also.
I downloaded Backtrack 5 KDE, burned to another DVD again and USB, didn't work again....
    I will explain what happens:
I have UBUNTU 10.04 LTS installed on my lap, and when i insert the DVD/USB it shows the boot screen..
I choose the first option, then the Backtrack 5 wallpaper shows, and it logs me into the Backtrack Terminal.
I type root and toor, and it logs me in !
But, when i type startx, it conflicts with my Ubuntu and logs me into Ubuntu, and the panel is crazy, the wallpaper is the default ubuntu wallpaper, and there isn't any tools at all....
This happens only on my laptop[i686] with Backtrack 5 GNOME & KDE, my other desktop works perfect with the DVDs and USBs.

Backtrack 4 R2 Boots perfectly on my laptop, but i don't like it because of many reasons.

It sounds like you're not booting on live DVD/USB ...

After you're inserting the DVD/USB, what do you press to make it boot from the new media ?

    The boot order is:
    USB
    CD-ROM
    HDD-0

And yes, i am booting the live cd and usb, it starts itself and asks me how to run, there is the BT5 Wallpaper in background (i choose the first option default).....
But i choose that, it starts to load the backtrack files, and then when i am logged as root, and type startx, Ubuntu starts, but it is some kind of bugged ubuntu because the menu is crazy....

On my desktop everything is just fine....
    It's the same order....

Maybe you are actually booting up BackTrack5 Live Gnome Edition...

Im having a real hard time imagine that you *buntu could interfere with the BackTrack Live disc..
When you write, that "it is some kind of bugged ubuntu because the menu is crazy..." - then what is crazy about the menu ?
It could sound like the BackTrack Menu ;-)
