fix-splash works for me
Hi guys I have installed backtrack 5 in my two netbooks and both of them are *not* showing this screen on boot:

How to fix that? I know that is not a big problem but I like it very much so I want it lol
I have tried fix-splash but with no luck :|
Thanks in advance
PS: The new release is working like a charm.. Now I'm running Armitage and it rocks!

fix-splash worked for me as well..however for some reason i am at the splash menu and when i do startx i get thef ollowing message: fatal server error: no screens found.. i have no idea how to fix this![]()
Hmmm fix-splash fixes the login picture not the boot the boot picture as shown in the sceeenshot that I posted in my first post. Are youvsure about that? Thanks for your reply
Urgh. Is this still a problem for people?
Seriously, all the devs have to do is include a 5-line shell script in /usr/share/initramfs-tools/hooks on the release image that everybody runs the ubiquity installer from and nobody will ever have to worry about this again.
I think that fix-splash fixes the login picture not the boot picture as shown in the sceeenshot that I posted in my first post. Are youvsure about that? Thanks for your reply
fix-splash fixed the boot screen and login screen for me but broke startx. When I initiate start x the screen brightness immediately drops to the lowest level and I am left with a _ at the top left corner of the screen.
Fix-splash also doesn't work for me.
I wanted the old menu back, with all the Forensic and such options.
Can someone help me please?

What should that script do? I may update the iso and do a reinstall, if you can provide the script.
Thanks in advance
