I am guessing you are using DHCP , have you tried to assign yourself a IP address manually . give some more info on what you have tried and some one might be able to help you out more .
I've seen other topics regarding this but none of them seem to offer a solution.
I've install BT5 (Gnome 32) onto my Dell Inspiron Mini 1012 and it give me "Bad password" error when I try to connect to my wifi which use WPA2 with a PSK.
It has connected successfully a couple of time, but the majority of the time it give me an error.
There aren't any problems with the wireless network; I have several devices attached to it and working fine. I have restarted my router just to be sure and the problem persists.
I don't have network-manager installed.
Can anyone offer any ideas?
Many Thanks.

Yes, I am using dhcp. I've tried connecting with a static IP but it makes no different (I'm not sure why it would?).
If tried restarting wicd and I've restarted the laptop several time.
Wired networking is fine.
My config is all in the default state; im using wext as my wpa driver.
My card is a Broadcom BCM4312.
Any ideas? Thanks.
The WPA2-PSK key must be entered as a hex-value (not as the cleartext-passphrase). Hower, I have the same problem because I didn't figure out yet,
how to calculate the hex-value of my WPA2 key. (My router just shows the cleartextversion I entered, not the hexvalue).
Hi softize ......
You can convert from text to hex and vice versa by downloading WinHex
http://www.winhex.com/winhex/index-m.html
Make new file then type the text at the right column and the hex values will appear at the left one ....
You can copy the values by >> right-click on them >> edit >> copy hex values .... then paste that in a txt file and close the program.
Hope this helps.
