I would download the latest version of Backtrack 5 R3, check the md5sum and use the Wiki tutorials to set it up.
I just installed Backtrack 5 r2 to my bootable USB. Everything boots up fine, I can login, and from what I have tested, most of the linux system utilities run and adjust fine. However, I tried to launch Wireshark, both from the menu (GUI) and from command line, and it will not run. I do get an error from command line about file not found, and that a shareable resource is missing.
Anyone else experience this? Is there possibly something I missed in the installation, or an update patch I need to install? BTW, I also tried booting from the Live CD, and I got the same errors/experience.
Thank you,
Tr1ndar
