    Smile BT5R1 Update SVN Ready Packages

    I thought it would be useful to post how to update quickly all SVN ready packages.

    Just copy and paste in a Terminal the following:

    apt-get update && apt-get upgrade && apt-get dist-upgrade
    cd /pentest/exploits/framework && svn update
    cd /pentest/exploits/set && svn update
    cd /pentest/exploits/exploitdb/ && svn update
    cd /pentest/wireless/aircrack-ng && svn update
    cd /pentest/wireless/giskismet/ && svn update
    cd /pentest/web/beef && svn update
    cd /pentest/web/w3af && svn update

    I guess you could script it for ease of use too...

    Enjoy, it's my first post.

    Is this safe, or it going to break things?

    Your question largely depends on how you may have customized your BackTrack install. I don't do much tweaking, so it's perfectly safe for me.
    If I could figure out how to scuba dive & hack at the same time, there would be nothing I couldn't do...

    There is a script a member of the forums made: http://bl4ck5w4n.tk/?p=44
    There's also a forum post about it, where people can suggest new features (a quick search should reveal it).
