ALSO, I cant run anything(When it finally boots!). Ive tried a number of apps (Firefox, etc) and nothing happens!! NOT cool!! Ive seen BackTrack 3 running on a EEEPC901 on youtube so I know it can work! why doesnt version 5 work with the EEE??? Am I missing something? Does anyone have any experience with this? PLEASE can I get a bit of help here??

    Cheers

In my EEE PC 900 BT5 works fine. I've made bootable usb by unetbootin from x86 iso-image and install it on HD. No problems found.

What are you using, KDE or Gnome? Also, what arch? Arm or x86? Im using KDE with x86 architecture. Im gonna give Gnome and ARM combo and see if that works.

    Hi,

I installed BT5 on an SD 8 GB with unebootin, I have an eeepc 901, I would like to avoid installing it on a hard drive, when I get the splash screen (I also just resolution of the screen), choose the line "boot in text mode" I get the following error: EXT2-fs (loop1): error: ext2_lookup: delete inode reference: 752950.

    can anyone help me?

    thanks

    You might want to try:
go to the dir which has casper-rw file
    type: fsck -f casper-rw

I had similarly problem, and the above fix it for me. Hope it works for you too.

do the same thing with BT5R1 but to succeed I had to change the vga mode (vga=791) to the value 789 (vga=789) in the kernel argument. Idem after the installation on the HDD / SD card in the grub menu.

    If I don't change and stay with vga=791 I have a black screen :-(.

I found some errors, I can now access the bootloader. selecting the option to boot into text mode and after a few seconds the screen remains black, with the third option I get the following errors:

"Unable to find the persistent medium home"

"impossible to include the casper-sn snapshots"
