Almost everything works out-of-the-box with this model. Also, this laptop's internal card is recognized by the system as a USB adapter (although it is a mini PCI-e card [and does not support injection]), so VMware can take control over it.
Specs (mine is upgraded ;D):
Processor: Intel Pentium Dual-Core 2310, (1.46 GHz)
Hard Disk: 80 GB
Memory: 1024 MB DDR2 (667Mhz) RAM, expandable to 3072 MB
Graphics: Adapter Intel GMA X3100 (up to 256MB shared)
Wi-Fi Communications: Realtek 802.11(b/g) 13ch-RTL8187B (Supports monitor mode, but not injection)
Fn keys functionality isn't recognized but it's easily configurable through Keyboard Shortcuts settings page of backtrack. Sound, ethernet, graphics card, everything else is working.
EDIT: Injection works with BackTrack 4 R1
