I was checking out this thread on BackTrack 5 and BCM43224 chipsets working on a MacBook Pro. My MacBook is one of the newest generations - the 8,1 with the i7 Sandy Bridge processors. As far as I'm aware they also use an updated wireless card (for a start it has 3 antennas and not two like the pervious generations).
It's firmware version is showing up as Broadcom BCM43xx 1.0 18.104.22.168.3 supporting a/b/g/n but BackTrack 5 doesn't appear to recognise the card at all. iw and ifconfig yield nothing. Wicd doesn't show any networks or interfaces either.
Have I missed anything when it comes to configuring the card or is it just not compatible with BackTrack?
