Not asking for much are you?
But to the point, unless you find some opensource tool and then let us know how it will help penetration testers, then there is not much we can do.
I've used backtrack for some time. One thing I always wished it had was some sort of spectral analysis or signal processing tool. One that would allow you to record a portion of whatever band you're trying to look at, be able to setup specific scripts to support known FSK's of different products, and perhaps even a wideband receiver that would allow video processing (PAL/NTSC/DVB/ECT ECT...). An overall signal analysis tool, then backtrack would truly be my one stop shop.
I know programs like this exist, but they're incredibly costly. The free ones aren't usually worth using, but that's the way it goes. I know it's a lot to ask, but I thought It couldn't hurt to throw it out there.
Thank you for your time and efforts,
