[ipw3945] - edit makefile to enable monitor mode/kismet?
heya,
got bt running from usb on dell m65 with ipw3945 chipset.
i downloaded the last stable version of ipw3945 from sourceforge, compiled,
and installed everything works fine, card is recognised and i can connect to my
wlan.
now i want to try out kismet, but it quits with an error message, to fast for me to read... something with: "bla, bla... monitor mode bla, bla"
so i cat the makefile and come upon this commented entry: CONFIG_IEEE80211_MONITOR=y
so now i wonder (being the linux noob i am): how do i uncomment this line and save the edited makefile? + there r a lot of other switches i can change like CONFIG_IPW3945_PROMISCUOUS, should i uncomment these also?
help is very appreciated!

hmmm jeah... lol... figured it out myself...
just type: vi Makefile
delete the # and there you go.
