Same issue with update script. Everything installs fine except ettercap.

Removes ettercap
installs "ettercap.desktop"

Apt-get install ettercap

all respos 404 not found.

Maybe it would be better to start from a clean BT and update one at a time.

BT5 x86 Gnome edition is installed on my laptop. When I try to install other packages everything is OK but when I try to install ettercap the same error appears posted in my previous msg.
I understand it is not a problem of the script but @Modify also posted this error. Anyone have similar problem?

thanks for the script. I had to remove the internet checking portion as where I am at, the checks instituted result in a failure, even though I am really connected to the internet. (Pings not allowed, etc.)

You may want to add a warning such as "Can't find internet connection, are you sure you're connected and want to continue?" Instead of just exiting the script.

Just my two cents.

I have a problem wit script, when i can download but when i start to update it seems that i have not internet connectivity....

You can comment out the call to the check_internet() function and just recompile. It's in the main() function, change it so that it looks like this:

    char choice[4];
    int choice_var;
    //check_internet();

* Added option to continue even without internet connectivity (for those with problems).
