Resolution 1280x800 New MacBook, parrelles
Hey All
New in this forum, trying to install BT2 final on my new MacBook, in pararelles
intel GMA 950 Grapic Controller.
I'v been looking and tryied 915resolution *Version 0.5.3 - 04/15/07-from www,geocities,com/stomljen/ but without luck.
Unknown chipset type and unrecognized bios
915resolution only works with intel 800/900 series graphic chipset
chipset Id: ffffffff
Info, i'v made a HD install all works fine,
New MacBook use intel GMA 950 Grapic Controller.

I having this same issue. Another thing I have noticed is that trying to change to lower resolution (to overcome needing to scroll the window) kills X. I am not sure if this is a Parallels Desktop or Backtrack issue. If I find anything, I'll let you know. Anyone with knowledge on this, please let us know. Thanks!

Makin Progress 1280x800
Just tryeid booting up hakin9live, it have no problem with the 1280x800, so maby it's in the BAckTrack image.

I've been reading about the Intel 950 GMA from their website and it uses the 945GM Chipset, which needs a seperate driver. Their linux drivers website (intellinuxgraphics.org) has the download. I am going to install and test it. I'll let you know once I find out more.
I downloaded the TGZ intel driver for its simplicity of installing (due to Backtrack's Slackware base). However, after installing it, X will no longer load. I will keep you posted as I resolve that issue.
