Thumbs up Re: easy-creds 3.3-BT5 Released

    ericmilam,

Very cleanly written script...Mad props....I can't wait to play with it. A suggestion for you though sir. Where you see lines such as:
    Code:
printf "Enter your tunnel interface, example at0: "
    read -e TUNIFACE

    if [ -z $TUNIFACE ]; then
           f_Error
           f_Karma-Attack
    fi
Instead of having them repeat the whole function, why not do this:
    Code:
    while [ -z $TUNIFACE ];do
printf "Enter your tunnel interface, example at0: "
         read -e TUNIFACE
    done
I haven't mapped out the order of your script....but, I could see it maybe materializing to where perhaps earlier in the script that, $TUNIFACE was already defined something, you could then do:
    Code:
    $TUNIFACE= ##Nulled
    while [ -z $TUNIFACE ];do
printf "Enter your tunnel interface, example at0: "
         read -e TUNIFACE
    done
Either way, cleanly and nicely done. Mad props...

I made a discovery today. I found a computer. Wait a second, this is cool. It does what I want it to. If it makes a mistake, it's because I screwed it up. Not because it doesn't like me... Or feels threatened by me.. Or thinks I'm a smart ass..

@snafu777 First off thank you for the compliments, Very much appreciated. I hope this script comes in handy for you. You can tell by looking at the code that I am not a developer. I am trying to broaden my skillset...since I somewhat knew BASH, that's why I scripted it that way. I am always looking for ways to clean things up and make them more efficient.

That section you point out is just supposed to be a check to make sure that the value isn't empty. So if someone hits enter without putting in any data, it should give the error and recycle. What kind of sucks is if you get deep enough in the function, and then have to start over its a pain. But I am not sure yet how to call back to a certain area of a function. But that would be more ideal.

When you get to the FakeAP stuff make sure you update your Aircrack. I was talking with Mister X last night and the version installed on BT5 base has a bug in Airbase. Once you SVN up or use my update portion it should work fine.

    Happy Hunting!

    thank you for everything
Please give Make and Model of USB wireless card.

Find the wireless card for your HP and see if its compatible with the Linux distro. i.e. Check Ubuntu's website to see if its listed as supported.

I took another look at this...will give it a try in the next release. As you pointed out...much better than recycling through the entire function. In addition, working on a deauth option for the FakeAP stuff.

    Best regards,
    Eric

I got word a couple of days ago that easy-creds is being added to the BT5 repos.

Soon all you'll have to do is apt-get update && apt-get install easy-creds

This is an incredible honor, and I am happy and excited by it!
