    Your english is pretty good. To be honest, everyone who says their english is poor is better than any american knowing any other foreign language.

    Did you try running
    Code:
    xconf
    before
    Code:
    startx
    ?

    IPW2200bg can monitor but it cannot inject packets.

    // i dont understand what you mean BT version with shell

    BT comes with a shell.

    If
    startx
    doesn't work, try
    flux
    "\x74\x68\x65\x70\x72\x65\x7a\x39\x38";

    I think the OP wants to know how they can determine what version of BT they are running from within the shell.

    But I want to know the version of my livecd.
    I can't determine it is BackTrack2 Public Beta or BackTrack 2.0 Final
    Because I have download it long months ago...
    How I can determine it is Current Version or Older Versions within the shell?
    Can you help me?

    notice: I runned the commands in the virtual machine.But the prompt information is the same as real machine..

    BackTrack 2 was released on March 6, 2007. If you downloaded it before that, you have the Beta version.
    "\x74\x68\x65\x70\x72\x65\x7a\x39\x38";

    Take a look at the properties for the disc and see if it tells you when it was last modified/accessed. CDs are read-only, so this will be the date you created the disc. If you created it before the date Prez gave above then it's a fair bet you're running the beta, if it was after then you're probably running final.

    I have already try to look at the properties for the disc and open all the files of disc..
    But I can't find it ...I didn't download it from remote-exploit.org.I think I downloaded them from linux-live.org.Because the files of disc are all about linux-live.org not any Remote-exploit、 BackTrack and so on....
