    Look here for ATI drivers.
    "\x74\x68\x65\x70\x72\x65\x7a\x39\x38";

    That's strange, because the link works for me. Try this:
    http://backtrack.offensive-security.com/
    Then click on "Modules" on the left side.
    "\x74\x68\x65\x70\x72\x65\x7a\x39\x38";

    Ok, what you meant to say was that the file isn't there. I understand that now.

    Default ati messing up hardcore

    ok so the ati drivers download finally worked, but it and extracted it and tryed to run the .sh file and got the permission denied error which most people i see get.. i looked at the the *.sh file was doing and it was basically moving these files to the right dir.

    so i just decided to move the files manually.

    rebooted and did the ati command to configure it and now nothing works heh.

    when i do a startx i get this error

    (EE) no devices detected

    fatal server error :
    no screens found

    XIO: fatal IO error 104 ( connect reset by peer) on x server ":0.0"
    after 0 requests (0 known processed ) with 0 events remaining

    did i totally f up my system now
