    Default Dual WLANs

My laptop is set to dual boot and has a built in Broadcom wifi card. When booting to BT5 my built in card (WLAN0) works fine. I have a WG111v2 USB adapter that supports injection, just can't seem to get it installed. What is the proper procedure with BT5? I've researched but just seem to find info on BT3 using the win drivers.

    Thanks!

As far as I know, back track is still based off kubuntu. So any installation procedure that works for that should do, or at least help IMO. Based on this I did a google search for "WG111v2 Linux kubuntu drivers" and the first hit had (in theory) multiple links to the required driver. As far as actual installing I don't know my self, you’ll have to keep reading, waiting, or asking around some more.

Also if your laptop is powerful enough, you can use VMplayer instead of a dual boot. This is what I use and it seems to be less buggy this way. Also this should fix your particular problem because I believe that if both the NIC's work on the host OS then they will automatically work on the guest as well. I think they end up being seen as wired LANs by the guest OS though so I have no idea how you would do injection with a setup like this. But the cards should "work" this way.

Anyway, I tried to help, hope it works out.

What have you tried? Help us help you!
Of course, if you really wanted to have some fun, go to Wal-Mart late at night and ask the greeter if they could help you find trashbags, roll of carpet, rope, quicklime, clorox and a shovel. See if they give you any strange looks. --Streaker69

WG111v2 probably has the R8187 chipset, if not, what your version has?
If the first case, try this and tell us.

This is from aircrack-ng wiki. http://www.aircrack-ng.org/doku.php?id=r8187
