TP-LINK WN722N works perfectly on my BT5 vmware image.
After the tests with BT4, here are the results for BT5.
I included BT4 results for reference.
OS:
- BT5 and BT4 R2 (on bootable USB)
- all drivers out-of-the-box, no extra drivers installed
Tools:
- Wifite_r78
- Grim WEPA 1.10 alpha 6 (installed)
AP/Router:
- Topcom webracer 1004
- TP-Link WR340GD
Encryption: WEP 64bit
(still can't seem to find a decent way to insert a table, so I'll attach an image) Rightclick "view image" for full size
Peculiar results: Hawking HWU8DD rev.B and Linksys WUSB54GC v1 which were working perfectly on BT4, I couldn't get them to work in BT5
I hope this helps some of you looking for an adapter.
TP-LINK WN722N works perfectly on my BT5 vmware image.
Thanks for the table mate, quite helpful. I use the AWUS036H on BT5 KDE 32 VM and everything is fine. Cheers again! (Y)

I've tested my Linksys Wusb600n v2 On BT5 which has RT2870 chipset and it didn't work for me. When i run airodump-ng it can't see any networks. What am i doing wrong?
I have a TP-LINK TL-WN722N v1.8, which does not work (neither out of the box nor with the latest compat-wireless.) Still looking for a way to get it working.
Great list! How ever...
Alfa AWUS036NH you show RT2870 as the chipset. When you go to Alfa's site they show the as chipset RT3070. Are they putting new chipsets in? and does the RT3070 work just as well as the RT2870 as far as injection and detection?
Hi I have a Belkin FD8055v2 and Cisco USB600N, and neither of them work out fresh of the box. Belkin though has in ubuntu forums listed about blacklisting some modules, and downloading the drivers and recompiling(compilation fails), i have tried doing all of that on my BT5 newly installed in Oracle Virtual Box. Any pointers on how to get this going ? I can get some other adapters from the store, as long as i am guaranteed to get injection and monitoring working, basically i want to set up a soft-ap with all options WEP/WPA/Open. Any help will be deeply appreciated .
