rainbow tables questions

I have downloaded rainbow tables from garr networks:
For instance this link:

Lets take as an example md5_alpha-space#1-9_0/

There are 3 directories : 1-9_0, 1-9_1, 1-9_2, 1-9_3.

Can someone tell me what's the difference between these directories? Do I need all the 3 or just the latest 1-9_3. These directories are different tables? The same goes for the other precomputed hashes.

those look like torrent files, I didn't download any of them personally but it looks like they are parts of a larger file, so in order to have the full 1-9, you have to dload all three torrents then put them in one file. Personally im kind of wary about downloading rainbow tables thru torrents, but if you trust the source then go ahead.

Rainbowtables are split into chucks, for easy handling I suppose. You'll need the entire table to be able to lookup the entire keyset (on wich the tables are made). So it is one big table, split into four (wich are probably split into more chunks).

If these rainbow tables were built using RT-gen (or something similar), here's my translation: MD5 hashes of all lower-case alphabetics (including space), with a maximum of 9 characters. I agree with gunrunr in that the rainbow table was split into 3 chunks for download via torrent.
