Error when adding user to MySQL database in Metasploit 3

I'm try to add a user (me) to a MySQL database in Metasploit 3 and I get the following output:

root@bt:~# mysql -u root -p'toor'
ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: YES)

Can anyone help me out with this? thank you.

Try this

mysql -u root -p

When prompted to enter password, type toor without the ' '

Or try:

mysql -uroot -ptoor

[ranjanyogesh]

mysql -u root -p
