    Unhappy I can't boot the BT5

I have download BT5-GNOME-32.iso,i test it in vmware, everything is ok.So i Install bt5 to USB with Unetbootin(i have tried unetbootin-win-549 and 300).when i boot from usb,
    it sad
    "Scanning disc for index files
Found 4package indexes,0 Source indexes,0 translation indexes and 0 singnatures
Please provide a name for this Disc, such as 'Debian 2.1r1 Disk 1':"
I suspect there was something wrong with my usb, then i write the iso file to a dvd
and boot from it,.Oh shit,it sad the same words.
Reboot, use the dvd with vmware, everything is ok.
In the end,i install bt4r1 to usb and boot from it without error.
    wtf

Im having the same issue. tried different flash drives and made sure the md5 is correct

i do see it throwing out some rrors about not found files such as
    /cdrom/preseed/custom.seed
if i mount the flash on a working station i can see the missing files are actually there and seem to be intact, and so i have no idea of what to do...
also it asks for a name to be provided but it doesnt let me type anything...

I have just ran into this myself using the BT5-R1 release. I copied the ISO's "casper" directory to /BT5 on my USB harddrive. I'm merging it into a custom multibooter. Syslinux line is as follows:

    Code:
    LABEL bt5
    MENU LABEL ^Backtrack 5 R1
    MENU INDENT 3
    KERNEL /BT5/vmlinuz
    APPEND file=/cdrom/BT5/custom.seed cdrom-detect/try-usb=true boot=casper live-media-path=/BT5 initrd=/BT5/initrd.gz text nosplash vga=791--
It will get to the point of asking for a disc name. To get around this. Push "ALT+F1" to get the kernel console terminal. Here is where you type in a disc name. I typed "test" pushed enter. Then push "ALT+F7" to return to the original terminal and the boot scripts will continue. I'm trying to find a workaround. Will let you know.
