injection question

hi guys. Im new to bt and linux so please bear with me. I have a dell latitude e5510 laptop and it came standard with a wireless card so my question is why can i only inject packets to some and not all routers. For example my dad has wep encrypted wifi and i can inject packets. But my personal wifi i cant evan if im like 10m or litteraly rite next2 the router? Is it my card or drivers or what? Im realy lost. Thanx 4 any help

You can be too close for it to work.

What do you mean by personal WiFi? And better make yoru dad get WPA because if you can get into his WiFi, anyone can.

Many factors can be involved in the AP cracking failure.
Newer AP conforming to 802.11n standard are more resilient to aircrack attacks,
firmware is tweaked to throw away multiple association requests coming from randomly chosen mac addresses,
performing fake authentication will fail when client whose address you are spoofing is actively connected,
also timeout will close your association when you are not active(not proceeding to authentication) over specific time period
then you got disassociated due to inactivity frame.It is also possible to fingerprint drivers and chipset chracteristics on the STA side
even DSSS spectral characteristic was researched to fight spoofing attacks.
