Default Calling all help with Realtek driver! PLEASE HELP!!!

I have spent weeks trying to get my Realtek 8192se internal wireless card working with Backtrack 5 and have had no luck. I've tried to install it manually with all sorts of errors, I tried ndiswrapper that installed the driver and sees the module, but still no wireless extension. I am asking everyone in this forum for help! I'm a noob when it comes to Linux but not an idiot when it comes to computers. If anyone thinks they can help, please respond, I'll give you more details on everything I've done.

RESOLVED! RTL8192se installed and running without problems. If you are having problems with this network card and the make and make install commands aren't working, you need to build a sym link in /lib/modules
    command:
    ln -s /usr/src/linux-headers-2.6.38/ /lib/modules/2.6.38/build

Then go into your driver folder and run the make and make install, reboot and you're good to go. Hope this helps someone!

Try to go to the realtek home page and see if they have a linux driver to that chip...
Ok, here is the link to download it (download the linux one):
    PHP Code:
     [url]http://www.realtek.com/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=5&PFid=5&Level=5&Conn=4&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false#RTL8111B/RTL8168B/RTL8111/RTL8168%3Cbr%3ERTL8111C/RTL8111CP/RTL8111D%28L%29%3Cbr%3ERTL8168C/RTL8111DP/RTL8111E%3Cbr%3ERTL8168E/RTL8111F[/url]
It is the same driver for rtl8111 and 8168...

    See if you have:
    1. to compile or just install with make.
    2. is a .run ( is a installer wizard), .bin (is a .exe), or .deb (use dpkg -i "name of file.deb)

Remember this, when installed, there is no warranty that aircrack-ng will work...Might need a patch...Need to go to aircrack-ng homepage..The rest of BT5, should run with no hassels.

Please, when asking for help, use a new thread, this one is in "solved" status...

    Best of lucks...
