You only need one of the of two commands given in the tutorial you linked to.
One is for a patch file that is zipped, e.g. ends in .gz, which is the first one you ran, which worked correctly. It uses gzip to unzip (-d) the file and pipe it (-c and |) in to patch.
The other is if your diff file is already uncompressed, which yours is not, which is why it failed.

What for the 2nd steps? It's for unzipped patch.

Yea mi bad. i compile it =), but =\
Now i hawe some other problems.

    when i try:
    Code:
    mpiexec -np 8 ./john --incremental=all --format=NT /root/127.0.0.1.pwdump
(i hawe i7 920 with 8 cores, and that is my pwdump file)
got hint that to install mpiexec and ofer me:
    Code:
    * lam-runtime (You will have to enable component called 'universe')
    * mpich2 (You will have to enable component called 'universe')
    * openmpi-bin (You will have to enable component called 'universe')
    i run
    Code:
    sudo apt-get install mpich2
    so i run again
    Code:
    mpiexec -np 8 ./john --incremental=all --format=NT /root/127.0.0.1.pwdump
    then i got error:
    Code:
/usr/bin/mpdroot: open failed for root's mpd conf filempiexec_bt (__init__ 1214): forked process failed; status=255
Inside jTR /doc folder in README.mpi i find info
Debian Linux example for installing OpenMPI:
    sudo apt-get install libopenmpi-dev openmpi-bin
I try that thing and next time i reboot pc, my BT freez before enter root/toor so i need install bt again =\

Is there any sudo apt-get install thing to make it work in BT5? Or can some explan what to do ?
    Thanks
