Belkin F7D2101 not showing up in airmon-ng

Thank you for everyone who takes the time to read this and assist me. I have spent well over 5 hours today searching google, and many websites. Everything has the same answer, not helping.

I am running BackTrack5 in VM Workstation, using the wireless adapter "BELKIN Surf/Share Wireless USB Adapter F7D2101". BT5 Can see it, and use it to browse the web. However, airmon-ng gives me an empty list?

ifconfig shows wlan0, iwconfig shows wlan0 has a wireless extension.

Hate to bring back an older thread but I also have the Belkin F7D2101 device plugged into my laptop but airmon doesnt show any devices at all, not even my internal wifi device in the laptop (probably not supported for airmon, and thus not showing up). How do I go about installing the drivers for the Belkin device?

At the moment BT5 is using my internal wifi to access the web, but doesnt work for airmon. So how would I go about installing the drivers for this device, and getting BT5 to use the USB device and not the internal card?
