wired network problem

My wicd wired network keep disconnect each time I try to connect.I boot it on cybercafe pc. Meanwhile it works fine on my home network. Please help me. thank you

Yes, to expand on what DaKahuna has said, a lot of networks require you to pay for use of the connection and to verify that you have paid, you may be required to log in through a web browser when it is running. It may appear that you are connected to the network but you haven't actually got full access yet. This is just a possible reason and it seems a likely one as it is the same situation at my college's network.

I paid the cyber cafe for the usage. their os is window xp and it doesn't required to log in. once i paid at the counter i can use the pc in window os but once i boot in bt then it wont work. any idea?
