Startup

This just started to happen recently, I boot it up and run the startx command, it starts up in GUI but it seems to automatically revert to what I had open durning my last power off a few nights ago, always the same firefox page, and a terminal with the same path always opens when I run the startx command. I installed a nvidia driver so that I could get better screen res but how should I fix this?

How are you turning off your computer ?

Same way I always have in BT. Shutdown -P 0
