Having some troubles with VirtualBox

Hello World !

I have some troubles with VirtualBox and my usb card (Alfa AWUS036H) with any linux distro (including backtrack 5).

I have to boot my virtual distro before connecting my alfa on usb port otherwise I can't use it (failed to attach the usb device).

It's really annoying ... Do you know how I could fix it.

I'm using VirtualBox also as well as an Alfa card (AWUS036E). The only thing that happens different if I connect my device then boot is that BT5 doesnt detect it. This is because it is probably mounted to my host OS, not the virtual (BT5) OS. I just click on the little USB adapter at the bottom of the VirtualBox window and select my adapter. VirtualBox places a checkmark next to it, then (after 30 seconds or so) I am able to issue a: ifconfig wlan0 up
In the terminal and I am good to go. Let me me know if this helps...
