I have a Lenovo ThinkPad X200 with equipped with Intel 5100AGN which is working out of the box of BackTrack 5.
Hi,
Because my wifi card was dead, i will replace it with an Intel 5100. Is this card is fully comptatible? I've read that it's need only (just wget and tar something) tweaked firmware.
Is it possible making packet injection, promiscuous mode, etc...?
Thank you!
@uranus,
My Lenovo ThinkPad X200 with equipped with Intel 5100 wireless card which supports monitor mode and injection out of the box.

@Samiux Thank you. I've just received my new WiFi card, i will mount it tomorrow.
I've tried to mount it. But i've the damned HP bios whitelist problem. I've tested this card. I've paused Grub, mount the card, and continue boot sequence, the card is detected and work properly. In conclusion this solution sucks.
I will try (and probably brick my notebook) removing the whitelist. I've found some forum posts about that, and the hex edition/change.
