    Default Burp freeze

    Hi all,

when I use Burp as an interception proxy burp hangs after a couple of seconds.
I can intercept 2-3 requests and that's all. The menu is un-responding. Only a kill helps.
Paros or Webscarab are working proper as a interception proxy.

Does anybody have the same issues and maybe a solution?

    Cheers,
    McFranco

I had the same issue when installing burp on ubuntu and noticed that my java was provided by openjdk and not sun.
Check u have made changes in your java installation or have a version greater than 1.5
    Hope this helps

    Hi badmash,

    the version of java is:

    root@bt:# java -version
    java version "1.6.0_0"
    IcedTea6 1.3.1 (6b12-0ubuntu6.6) Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_0-b12)
OpenJDK Client VM (build 1.6.0_0-b12, mixed mode, sharing)

    Cheers,
    McFranco

    **SOLVED**

Don't install openjdk-6-jre and openjdk-6-jdk when you install WebGoat on BT4.

    Cheers,
