Running Backtrack 5 Vmware no wireless extentions
Yes I can not get my Backtrack5 Runinng in vmware to reconize my wireless extentions. I am currently using The alfa AwUS036h and it lets me surf the internet but when I type Iwconfig its says lo no wireless extentions eth0 no wireless extentions. How do I get this working?

If you are using it on vmware, it won't recognize the wireless, you have to use external wireless card

Wow, if only someone would put that in the FAQ.....
Of course, if you really wanted to have some fun, go to Wal-Mart late at night and ask the greeter if they could help you find trashbags, roll of carpet, rope, quicklime, clorox and a shovel. See if they give you any strange looks. --Streaker69

Yes, VMware can only recognize USB dongles.

[IMG]this guy is using a usb dongle, and reading the forums. How ever what he is not doing is clicking the little button at the bottom of the vmware screen to put the usb dongle inside the virtual machine. try that.
