Cannot retrieve minimized applications

Good evening all,

I am currently in BT5 KDE, and each time i minimize an application i cannot retrieve it...as it disappears from the screen and does not seem to stay attached on the toolbar

Im new on linux so maybe i missed something...

right click on desktop then go to add panel option (has green plus sign) and select default panel. should open taskbar at top of screen.
