I don'f find..How change the Keyboard layout Language in BT5 KDE?
Could you help me?
Thanks a lot
And in addition...
You should install additional language packs for KDE. For your language, command will be as below:
Replace <lang> with your country shortcut such as: us, en, cn, ru etc.Code:apt-get install aspell-<lang> kde-i10n-<lang> language-pack-kde-<lang> language-pack-kde-<lang>-base language-pack-<lang> language-pack-<lang>-base language-support-<lang> myspell-<lang>
Hope this helps.
trick. with the installer on desktop i set language , then stop/quit/ do not install.
this work for me.
acer 5920g , 345abg , nvidia 8600m
bt5 kde 64bit + acpi + cuda 4.0 / nvidia 270.40 / pyrit
thanks Nemis...it's works
I am new to Linux distros (Mac user), this will be my first install, but I use Dvorak KB layout. Is it available in BT5? If so how do I switch to it?
It is the only working method for me in this thread since I am running BT5 KDE from a live CD.
Now, the Keybourd layouts Widget works by clicking it ......
Anyone knows how to change between layouts by a keyboard shortcut ?
When dpkg-reconfigure console-setup is completed, I got an error saying that the media is Read-Only (Live CD).
Hi again ......
I just wanted to add that alx26 method in post #2 worked as well when I used BT5 kde from a usb flash drive (using unetbootin and the iso file) ....
I believe the persistence feature in unetbootin eleminates the read-only drawback, no need to install any language support by the way ....
Only use : sudo dpkg-reconfigure console-setup from a terminal and wait till it finished then reboot .........
Hope this post helped
Is there a solution for live-cd sessions beside running the installer (and aborting it after language selection)? Something we can put in a script or a way changing files on the cd?
