    Default Problem with partitions

    hi there,
i'm trying to install bt5 on my netbook with multiple o.s.
under windows 7 i created a 10gb partition in order to install bt5.
i boot through usb and when i get to the partition selection i see only the main partition sda and not the 10gb partition or the ubuntu partition, neither the win7 partition.

how can i solve this problem?

p.s. with dolphin i see all che partitions i mentioned.

no it's just unallocated. i'll try to format it fat32 but i don't think that's the problem since the ntfs and ext4 are not recognized

Are you sure that you see the correct disk, and not the usb-drive you are booting from? Try cat /proc/partitions to see all partitions that you have when you boot through your usb.

ok, the BT5 uses filesystem ext4, If you had dual boot, and i assume you first installed Windows 7 and then Ubuntu, You are using the Ubuntu grub...
Here the question would be what version of ubuntu are you using?
Karmic and versions above uses ext4 by default..
I have Jaunty by the way. I have 4 O.S. to boot and choose from: WinXP, Win7, Jaunty and BT4 r2..Jaunty and BT4 r2 uses filesystem ext3...I use the Jaunty grub to boot...
I do can install BT5, but it would use the BT5 grub and I really do not know if I might have problems reading the ext3 partitions (Jaunty and BT4 r2)..In the ext4, you can read ext3 and ext2, raiserFS, etc..I have some info in Wxp and W7, so I'll have to back it up and try use the BT5 grub and see if there is no problem when reading the EXt3...
The kernel in BT5 is 2.6.38...

You need to choose customize partition during installation.
