    Unhappy broken repository - firefox

    Hi,
for a couple of weeks now I have struggled when running and apt-get update.

I am receiving the following error:

W: Failed to fetch http://ppa.launchpad.net/mozillateam...86/Packages.gz 404 Not Found

E: Some index files failed to download, they have been ignored, or old ones used instead.

I have whittled down my /etc/apt/sources.list to the following:

deb http://all.repository.backtrack-linux.org revolution main microverse non-free testing
deb http://32.repository.backtrack-linux.org revolution main microverse non-free testing
deb http://source.repository.backtrack-linux.org revolution main microverse non-free testing
deb http://updates.repository.backtrack-linux.org revolution main microverse non-free testing

Can anybody help me resolve this issue please ?

    hi
I hope you will be of help
you perhaps have something to do with mozilla installed via PPA?
    if yes:
Go to the directory / etc / apt / .......
open one of the folders (I can not remember if it's "preference.d" "or other folders .....
open the files with gedit or kwrite .....
LOOK at file referring to http://ppa.launchpad.net/mozilla ....ecc.ecc
Comment with # & save ;or delete it and ....
now try apt-get update in terminal
    bye

    Hiya,

    /etc/apt/sources.list.d/mozillateam-firefox-stable-lucid.list

held the only link to ppa stuff. Commenting it out has removed the error message but does this mean I will no longer get firefox updates via aptitude ?

    Thanks for the help

    Kind Regards
