Default Acer Aspire One Install Bug

popped BT5 32 bit Gnome and KDE onto a usb drive, tried to install, gets to first splash screen, sits for a minute, then spams me with 10,000 errors (or just one massive one)

/sys/devices/pci0000:00/0000:1d.7/usb1/1-3/host6/target6:0:0/6:0:0:1/block/sr0... etc etc as it just keeps going on repeating that same thing over and over

so yeah, anything I can do?

ok what did you use to install the iso to usb ??? unetbootin??? did you try linux usb creator http://www.linuxliveusb.com/

try reinstall it and if you have the same error we will go deeper in some trouble shooting

also when booting try a different usb port

what i noticed with a quick eye that it gets to the login before the suicide zombie errors start attacking. after it was done spitting out the 10k errors, i typed in root and got

    /bin/sh: ????????????root: not found

and yes, i will do your suggestion right now

    still spitting out the errors.

    errors..
    errors everywhere
    they are consuming my mind..
    they are consuming my soul!

D250 here. No install problems. Only weird thing I've had so far is the Ubuntu 10.10 splash screen still pops up after BT is installed over it.

I am booting from USB. I still cannot get BT5 to work. I also had a problem with BT4, but i was able to type in "fix-vesa" and get BT4 to work. I don't get a chance to try it in BT5.

I found a fix. For me at least. All I did was use a different USB stick. I was using a 4gb U3 something or other. Now I am using a 4gb Kingston and it is installing.
