hello everyone i am having this problem with both versions of backtrack 5 32-bit (Gnome & KDE) everything works fine and its great until i try and install it to my hard drive
i have downloaded both Gnome and KDE versions of backtrack 32-bit and i copied to a 4GB USB device and booted from there, everything was running perfectly all programs etc.. then when i try to install it it starts giving me errors
i click on install backtrack and when i get to step 3 which is where i am supposed to choose my keyboard layout i choose US and i click on next and the installer crashes with the following errors:
ubi-partman failed <<< (this is what it said on the first time i tried with Gnome 32-bit)
ubi-console setup failed with exit code 1 <<< (this is what it said when i tried with KDE 32-bit)
ubi-partman failed with exit code 10 <<< (this is also what it said with KDE 32-bit)
i have had the same problem when i tried installing ubuntu 10.10 in the past and i found no solution, so am i wrong to assume that this might be happening cuz BT5 is based on ubuntu 10.10 ? i know alot of ubuntu 10.10 users have had this problem so i thought it might be related to what i am getting...
anyway any help would be highly appreciated thanks,

ubi-partman failed because you have to remove your usb drive otherwise it doesn't see the partitions tables. I installed kde 32b manually like bt 3!! it works pretty fine.
