    Default VBOX Failed

    someone help me to install Vbox in bt5? .. I get the following error


    root@bt:~# /etc/init.d/vboxdrv setup
    * Stopping VirtualBox kernel modules [ OK ]
    * Uninstalling old VirtualBox DKMS kernel modules [ OK ]
    * Trying to register the VirtualBox kernel modules using DKMS
    * Failed, trying without DKMS
    * Recompiling VirtualBox kernel modules
    * Look at /var/log/vbox-install.log to find out what went wrong
    root@bt:~#

    Vbox-install.log ->

    Makefile:169: *** Error: unable to find the sources of your current Linux kernel. Specify KERN_DIR=<directo$

    Please search the forum before posting new threads !

    Code:
    prepare-kernel-sources
    cd /usr/src/linux
    cp -rf include/generated/* include/linux
    and then compile vbox tools

    I would very much appreciate if you indicated a source of documentation of why was necessary to copy those files from one folder to another and how did you reach this solution (I'm trying to learn to debug these kind of errors myself).

    Thanks Nexxor, this worked perfectly. I should remember to search BT first and then google *slaps hand to face*
