I run BAcktrack in Windows using Vmware player and this is my dial up configuration

i use tata indicom SXC 1080 soon going to take photon +


I am unable to use many apps such as beef , SET

The IP i give to others example in SET doesnt work ( This is my local host ip i know but how i will make it work )

I have a dynamic IP ....

In my
VMware player i have set up network adapter NAT (Explain me little about Backtrack networking )

In backtrack 5 to connect to the internet i am typing the following command

root@bt:~# dhclient

In backtrack 4 i got connected to internet by using dhclient eth0 or only dhclient the results were same but in BAcktrack 5 when i type eth0

why does this happen ?


DO I NEED IP FORWARDING IN BACKTRACK SO THAT OTHERS CAN ACCESS MY LOCAL HOST IP ???
