backtrack5 boot problem

downloaded bt5 kde 64 bit iso
burn to disc and boot,
type startx and the install screen comes up but then recycles back to root@root

actually downloaded twice and checked MD5 but still will not boot,
i'm using an ASUS with windows 7 home on 64bits,

any ideas as to the problem?

This has already been answered. Check the Forum for the "BT5 Fixes" and look for the thread on start-x issues. The problem is described and a fix given there that works.
