Hi,
it seems that there is something wrong with the graphic mode. i cant start x, i get an error message like.
when i boot from cd, try to startx, the first chinese symbol appears, then the gfx crashes, iam back at the shell with the following error message
ioctrl could not be activated/found. cant find device.
any help ?

I had a similar issue with BT 64 bit on my Dell Lattitude with an NVIDIA NVS 140m. The 32 bit version is working great. I would start there. Unless of course there is a particular need for 64 bit. I haven't found one in Linux yet. MS Windows is another story since I have 4GB memory on my laptop and 8 GB on my desktop.
Look over in the BT5 fixes forum. Seems to be some success with this very problem
