Default Backtrack 5 - How to install pyrit

This will create main dir tree for installation with svn support etc etc

    Code:
    svn checkout http://pyrit.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/ pyrit_svn
We have just created a dir /pyrit_svn
This will install libs and other stuff needed:

    Code:
    apt-get install libssl-dev
    apt-get install scapy
    apt-get install python-dev
    Going to build pyrit

    Code:
    cd pyrit_svn/pyrit
    python setup.py build
    python setup.py install
Check now if works typing pyrit on a command line.

Don't know why thy didn't include pyrit in BT5 as it was awesome !

    Anyway hears the fix.

first install the nvidia driver from the nvidia site.

once done do the following at the terminal

    svn checkout http://pyrit.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/ pyrit_svn

    sudo apt-get install libssl-dev
    sudo apt-get install scapy
    sudo apt-get install python-dev

    now cd into /pyrit_svn/pyrit

    and type

    sudo python setup.py build
    sudo python setup.py install

    then download the nvidia-toolkit from

    http://developer.nvidia.com/cuda-toolkit-32-downloads

go to "CUDA Toolkit for Ubuntu Linux 10.04" (near bottom) and select the 32bit or 64bit depending on what O/S you have

now do (for me anyway since i have x64) sh cudatoolkit_3.2.16_linux_64_ubuntu10.04.run

    now cd to /pyrit_svn/cpyrit_cuda

    and type

    sudo python setup.py build
    sudo python setup.py install

and thats it you should be done !

Am not sure on ATI, i assume it's more or less the same setup, but change the nvidia driver to ATI and don't install the nvivia-toolbox

Merged threads. No sense having two of the same thing.
