wireless loses connection after few seconds

I am having a very similar problem. Each time I connect to any wireless network (secure or unsecure), every goes smooth and I get connected, but only stay connected for a ouple seconds. I tried this code:

update-rc.d wicd defaults
/etc/init.d/wicd start
startx

After issuing those command, and once the GUI loads, I am able to connect for about 10 minutes, then I have the same problem all over again.

I am using a Broadcom BCM4312 wireless card and BackTrack 5. Any help would be great!

Is it doing this with all routers? or just the one you use? My card was fine after adding the daemon.

Seems like it's your router to me unless you have tried others, but I dont own that card so I cannot help test if it is that.
